The FT-1 concept has a “5-alarm visual impact,” design director Kevin Hunter said. It is “the symbol of Toyota’s design future,” picking up some of the heritage of past Toyota sports cars, including the old Supra.

But whether the engine will be a big V-8 or a more high-tech, downsized gas engine, Toyota wasn't saying. Indeed, the show car might not have a place in its future product line-up.
