The owners of the winning mega-jackpot Powerball ticket sold in Florida made their public debut Wednesday.

Married couple Maureen Smith and David Kaltschmidt, New York transplants who moved to Melbourne Beach in 1991, opted to take a lump sum of $327 million.

"I will be retiring," smiled Kaltschmidt, an engineer with Northrop Grumman.

Smith said it was hard to keep their secret from their family and friends. Her husband agreed.

"I lost 10 pounds," he said. "There was a lot of pacing at night."

The historic winnings will be divided between two other lucky families who picked the numbers 8-27-34-4-19 and 10: John and Lisa Robinson of Munford, Tennessee; and an as-yet-undisclosed ticket-holder in Chino Hills, California, who has yet to come forward to claim his/her prize.

Odds of having a winning ticket were placed at 1 in 292 million.
