Coaches often talk about getting into a player's head. A newly-developed helmet cam is poised to help them do that. Eleven NFL teams are using the Schutt Vision helmet in practice, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Buffalo Bills, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Panthers. Major NCAA football programs are also using it. The video helmet—launched earlier this year—has also been used for instant replays during live, televised Arena Football League games, said JR Liverman, founder and CEO of Sports Video Innovations, which makes the camera. The helmet does not transit live yet. "We are in advanced development of the Wi-Fi," he said on CNBC's "Squawk Box" Thursday.

If they could only do something about concussions.
