The family of a girl, whose grandmother claims an employee kicked them out of a KFC restaurant because of the girl's hideously scarred face, will not accept the fast-food chain's $30,000 donation for medical expenses. The family "didn't feel it was appropriate to accept it after everything KFC has done," the family's lawyer Bill Kellum told The Clarion-Ledger newspaper of Jackson, Mississippi. Kellum, the family's lawyer said KFC will donate the money to the Frank Stile Foundation, a nonprofit linked to Stile, a Las Vegas plastic surgeon who will perform Victoria' Wilcher's cosmetic surgeries. GoFundMe, a popular fundraising website, soon will release more than $100,000 in donations to go toward Victoria’s medical care, he said. However, Kelly Mullins still maintains an employee at a Jackson KFC asked her three-year-old granddaughter to leave on May 15 because her appearance scared customers. Wilcher lost her right eye and suffered facial fractures after she was mauled by three pit bulls at her grandfather's home. KFC says two investigations yielded no evidence to support the family's claim. Sign up for top Business news direct to your inbox.
