Hot job: He puts the 'party' in political conventions

For the team behind a dozen parties, panels, lounges and in Tampa and Charlotte, political affiliations are unimportant. For Ryan Costello and his team, the only thing that matters is that the events go off without a hitch.

Costello is at the center of what is expected to be one of the hottest job categories of the next decade: corporate event planning. These detail-oriented wizards make travel arrangements, find and book venues, create menus and orchestrate every last beat of themed events for company meetings and annual conventions that draw hundreds, even thousands.
