Smooth crooner Bing Crosby didn't write the song, but his voice is the reason that "White Christmas" is one of the best-selling singles of all time.

And it's only fitting that one of Crosby's homes is featured during the month that the nostalgic tune is so often heard.

While Crosby's Rancho Mirage home, located at 70375 Calico Rd, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270 won't likely get snow over the holidays, it still has quite a bit going for it. Currently listed for just under $3.5 million, the mid-century modern home was built for Crosby and his second wife, Kathryn Grant, shortly after their marriage in 1957.

The Palm Springs area was a popular celeb destination in the 1950s and '60s. The "Chairman of the Board," Frank Sinatra, also had a place in Rancho Mirage, and  Dean Martin and Marilyn Monroe each had a vacation home in Palm Springs.

Crosby only lived at the Rancho Mirage home for a few years, before he had another home built in nearby Palm Desert. But the home still contains all the touches from the singer, including expansive indoor and outdoor living areas with sliding glass doors that completely recess into the walls, a theater room with projector, and a huge living room with stone fireplace.

Of course, the home also includes plenty of Crosby memorabilia, says real estate agentCarl Mitrak.

"A lot of other people want something newer or bigger, but this house is perfect," Mitrak said.

If the Crosby angle isn't enough of a celebrity real estate draw, one of the wings of the home is named the Kennedy wing for the presidential visitor that reportedly stayed for a weekend.

"Robert Kennedy said that Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy stayed a weekend here, so our party named the wing after him," Mitrak explained.

The home measures 6,700 square feet with 6 bedrooms and 6 baths. If buying the place seems like too much of a commitment, the house is also available as a Rancho Mirage rental for $3,000 a night.

According to Zillow's mortgage calculator, the home's monthly payment would be $12,075, assuming a 20 percent down payment on a 30-year-mortgage.
