UPDATE (August 12, 2014):
Tim McVay, Carrie Olson's ex-boyfriend and accused killer, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder and concealing a homicidal death.
The jury trial is set to begin on September 29, 2014. At the hearing, McVay’s objection to extended media coverage of the court proceedings was denied.
UPDATE (July 18, 2014):
Carrie Olson's ex-boyfriend, Tim McVay, was charged Friday morning with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death in relation to Olson's death and disappearance.
He is being held in the Rock Island County Jail on a $1.5 million bond, and is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
UPDATE (April 5, 2014):
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has confirmed that Carrie Olson of Davenport, IA was found dead in Hastings, Minnesota. Olson’s body was found in a vacant lot on April 5. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office is still investigating the cause of death.
Carrie, 29, of Davenport, IA was last seen by her family the afternoon of Dec. 28th, 2013. The same day, Carrie was seen on surveillance cameras at the 7-Eleven on 38th Street in Rock Island, IL around 4 p.m. Please SHARE this to get the word out and help bring Carrie home.
