Beyoncé is known for, among other things, slaying her choreography better than anyone else, but Virginia law officer Deuntay Diggs may be a close second.

Diggs was asked to participate in a pep rally at a Virginia high school where his fiancé, Benjamin Leitner, teaches. Using YouTube clips, Diggs taught himself the choreography to Beyoncé's hit song "Formation" in just a couple of hours and performed the very next day.

"It was nothing like I have ever felt before," Diggs told NBC4 in Washington.

Diggs performed for the school despite finding out just days before that his mother had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Though he originally planned to cancel, he decided the show must go on after some words of encouragement from his mom.

Now, his dance moves are taking the internet by storm.

Diggs came out as a freshman at the Virginia Military Institute, making him the institute's first openly gay cadet. He is also the first openly gay deputy at the Stafford County Sheriff's Office in Virginia.
