Assignment: What are you most thankful for this year?  Despite an abundance of natural and unnatural disasters blessings abound.  Tell us your story.  Big or small, blessings all.  Help us close this year by sharing your inspiring stories of gratitude.

Priceless investments
I found a good job this past year with a wonderful company that pays well.  The company is growing rapidly; giving me job security. I have had the opportunity to give back to the community and help those who have had their own troubles. For those who can give, remember to be thankful that you can and generous when you do to those in need. A smile, a thank you, a feeling of accomplishment are priceless investments.

50th Wedding Anniversary
My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. They didn't marry until they were just past 36 years of age, first marriages for both. As my mother says, would you have expected someone who didn't marry until they were 36 to be alive to celebrate their 50th? I have been blessed!

A new love, a new dad
I am thankful that I met the love of my life and married him on June 25 of this year. I am thankful that my sons have a wonderful role model that loves them very much. I am grateful that my sons are happy and healthy and love their new dad very much.

Adoption reunion
I was able to visit with my son, his beautiful wife, and my new grandchild twice this year, and I am full of love for them. I found him -- my birthson -- after 33 years, and he welcomed me into his life. The blessings are too numerous to mention in this adoption reunion.

... and my 4 cats
I feel truly blessed. I one of the lucky people with a good job, a place to live, food to eat, clothes on my back. I have my boyfriend, friends and family. Oh, I can't forget my 4 cats either. I'm blessed because I’m more fortunate than others that have been threw the hurricanes, etc. May all who read this count your blessings. Happy thanksgiving. God bless

Twins!
My husband and I just recently found out we're having twins! They'll be our first children (and the first grandchildren too!) The miracle of two new little lives is certainly something to be thankful for.

Wonderful care
I had an accident that could have cost me my left leg but, because of wonderful care I received from the Alaska Native Medical Center. I am doing wonderful. I will for ever grateful the surgeon and staff who took care of me.

A new home
We moved to Las Vegas in January. I am most grateful to the community for welcoming us with open arms. Any transition can be challenging and especially a big move. Warm, friendly people really do make a place a home.
