Seán Federico-O'Murchú is the Director of Social Newsgathering for NBC News.
He has worked at NBC News.com/msnbc.com since 2000.
Prior to his current role, he ran the home page and the Breaking News coverage for the site. He won a Peabody for his work on the 2013 'In Plain Sight' project and managed the 'Elkhart Project,' winner of the 2009 National Press Club’s Joan M. Friedenberg Online Journalism Award.
He's been a journalist for more than 25 years, working previously at Agence-France Presse, Bridge Financial News, The New York Post and a number of Irish and Irish-American publications.
