But Bill and Nedra Trahan didn’t know where to start.

“My philosophy is 'when in doubt, throw it out,'” Bill Trahan said.

“Professional organizing is a huge booming profession -- in fact just this year alone there's been a 40-percent increase for professional organizers,” said Betsy Fein of Clutterbusters.

Fein is one of more than 3,000 professional organizers, but the first to franchise the service. Her average client will pay up to $5,000 to organize their stuff.
