Stolen bases are to be expected at a baseball field, but stolen bleachers?

    1. C'mon — what's not to like?

Hoof it over to Facebook to join the weird news herd.

Thieves have made off with bleachers that provided seating for 100 people at youth ball diamonds in Lorain, Ohio.

The bleachers began disappearing over several days last week. An official with Lorain Youth Baseball says the thefts began with small end plates and cross sections and escalated to larger pieces.

Police say thefts of aluminum, copper and other metals are on the rise as prices soar. Aluminum is selling for about 50 cents per pound.

All American Recycling in Lorain has offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the bleacher thieves.
