The owner of a car dealership was arrested after allegedly attacking a customer with a machete, police said.
Robert Parker, 73, was charged Monday with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and being held on $50,000 bond, according to the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
The alleged victim, Gerald Davis, 53, of Tyler, arrived at the police department — with the machete — to say he’d been attacked. Davis said he stopped at Time Auto Sales to pick up license plates for a vehicle he’d bought.
Police say the two men argued, then Parker allegedly pulled out a machete and cut Davis on the arm.
Davis was able to take the machete from Parker and contact police.
The victim was treated for his wound.
No word yet on what the argument was about.
