The campaigns for U.S. Senate candidates Bob Casey and Sen. Rick Santorum said Tuesday that they have accepted invitations to four debates, including two in one day.

Virginia Davis, a spokeswoman for the Republican incumbent, said Tuesday that Santorum's acceptance to the four debates is tentative. For months, Santorum has pressed for Casey to debate 10 times.

Larry Smar, a spokesman for Casey, a Democrat, said he is still reviewing debate invitations, and it is possible he will agree to more.

The debates are the following:
- Sept. 3 on NBC's "Meet the Press" in Washington.
- Oct. 12 in Pittsburgh, sponsored by KDKA-TV and the Post-Gazette.
- Oct. 16 on KYW-AM in Philadelphia.
- Oct. 16 in Philadelphia, sponsored by WPVI-TV and the League of Women Voters.
