There once was a teacher who had faith in Monica Groves: Mrs. Kamminga. Mrs. Kamminga was her first grade teacher, her role model, and during difficult classroom moments, Monica's inspiration.
"I’ll never forget her," says Groves. "Her demeanor was so supportive. And she made you want to be better. Not everybody can do that, this connection where [teachers] can actually inspire you without you knowing."
