Jarrod Davidson

Richard Davidson describes his son: "Jarrod was someone with a constant source of positive attitude, uniquely kind, a gentle, patient, honest caring man with a wonderful smile worthy of the respect he earned from his friends and peers.

Chemistry, sports, music, family and his daughter were his passions.

Jarrod entered the graduate chemistry program at the University of California Santa Barbara in September 2003 to further his education and to be closer to his daughter. As a graduate student his duties included attending classes, teaching lower level chemistry and participating in a research project to develop a molecule inhibitor to protect against cardiac cell death associated with myocardial infarction.

Always present on his desk was a picture of his daughter from which he drew inspiration and resolve to weather the trials and tribulations of a divorced father and the long hours working for the betterment of his life, his daughters life and potentially the lives of the sixty million
Americans that suffer from heart disease."

Susan Davidson describes her son: "He was a very sweet and loving baby.  And he was a shy boy.  As he grew into a man, we were so proud of him... And the way that he conducted himself as a father, and as a worker, and as a son was always with honor."
