Apple Computer says its new iPod shuffle goes on sale this Friday.
When the new, more compact design was announced back in mid-September, Apple said it would become available during the month of October.
So that date has slipped a bit.
About half the size of the original shuffle, the device will sell for $79.
With one gigabyte of flash memory, Apple says it should be able to hold up to 240 songs.
The shuffle lacks the display that other iPods have.
Users flip a switch to determine whether to listen to music in an order they determined on their computer, or at random.
