President Bush will meet with outgoing British Prime Minister Tony Blair, his closest ally in the war in Iraq, when Blair visits Washington next Wednesday and Thursday.

The meeting, announced by the White House on Friday, comes six weeks before Blair steps down as prime minister on June 27.

Bush and Blair also will see each other in early June at the annual summit of industrialized nations, being held in Germany.
