Don't let high gas prices tank your getaway plans! Road trips are looking a little less affordable these days thanks to ever-increasing prices at the pump, but luckily there's a whole range of hotels, B&B's and rental car companies committed to keeping you on the road. Get a free tank in Switzerland or a $50 gas card in Vermont -- these are just a few of the gas promotions we've found for travel this summer. So buckle up and hit the road -- and let someone else pay the bill.

Book 2 Nights, Hotel; Get $30 Gas Rebate is offering a $30 gas rebate with any summer hotel booking of two nights or longer. After you've made your booking, you'll have to submit a short online rebate form, and then the $30 rebate will be applied to the credit card with which you made the original booking. Just book by July 2, travel by Sept. 9 and fill out the rebate form by Sept. 23. offers reservations for thousands of properties around the world.

$50 Gas Card with 3-Night Stay in Vermont
Don't let gas prices keep you from enjoying a relaxing New England getaway this summer. The Black Bear Inn is offering a $50 gas card at checkout to guests who stay any three nights through the middle of October. The inn is located in Vermont's scenic Bolton Valley, boasting 6,000 private acres of biking, hiking and horseback riding trails as well as a swimming pool and tennis courts. You must request this deal at the time of booking.

Free Tank of Gas in Switzerland with Rentals
Switzerland may be beautiful, but it's also a notoriously expensive country to visit. Hertz takes a little bit of the burden off your shoulders by offering a free tank of gas with your rental vehicle, good for pickups at participating Swiss locations through June 30. This offer is valid for full-size or premium van rentals of at least seven days. Reserve by June 15 using promotional coupon number (PC) 999386, and bring a print-out of Hertz's offer page with you to the rental counter.

"Fuel Good" in Portland Pkg. from $219 a night.
The elegant Benson Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon is offering a "Fuel Good" package through the end of June. Starting at just $219 a night, the package includes overnight accommodations in a deluxe guest room, taxes, valet parking, a complimentary car wash and a $25 gas card. A junior suite costs just $269 a night, or you can go glam with a penthouse from $519. You must travel by June 30.

Get Gas Rebates at B&B's Across the U.S.
If you love to stay at cozy inns when you travel, you won't want to miss's list of gas promotions at B&B's across the U.S. Dozens of properties from California to Maine are offering up to $100 off your gas expenses, as well as exclusive discounts for "one tank trips." Offerings and travel dates vary by property and change frequently.

Stay Midweek in Gettysburg and Get $50 for Gas
Headed back in time to see the famous Civil War battlefield in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania? Combine your visit with a stay at the historic Gaslight Inn and stop worrying about modern inconveniences like the price of gas! The inn is offering $50 toward the cost of gas when you stay two nights midweek (Sunday through Thursday) through Nov. 30. You must mention this special at the time of booking.

Calif. "Tanks for the Memories" Pkg. from $279 a Night
Experience the scenic coast of California with a two-night stay at the luxurious Inn at Morro Bay. When you book the "Tanks for the Memories" package, you'll enjoy two nights' accommodations in a pool- and garden-view room, a $40 gas card to offset your travel costs, and a photo album and disposable camera to record the memories of your trip. This package starts at $279 per night for weekday stays and $379 per night on Fridays and Saturdays. Travel is good between June 15 and Aug. 31.
