While this isn't quite a photo of a launch, it is a photo of the product of many launches; the International Space Station. I took this on June 17th, 2006 as the space station passed overhead by tracking it with Brent Boshart's Satellite Tracker software and my LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using a Meade electronic eyepiece. I am also planning to get a picture of Atlantis during the course of it's 11 day mission.

From the neighborhood, as we watch to the south east, goes STS-117 Shuttle Atlantis.

Taken with a Nikon CoolPix 995 from 132 miles to the west of the launch site, in Spring Hill Florida, on the west coast of Florida, about 45 miles north of Tampa.
