Three people were injured when a Southwest Airlines flight experienced turbulence Tuesday, but the airplane landed safely at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, an airline spokesman said.

A passenger and two flight attendants reported injuries and were examined by paramedics at the airport, said Chris Mainz, an airline spokesman. The passenger was examined and released, while the flight attendants decided to go to a local hospital after paramedics did not find any injuries, Mainz said.

The Southwest Airlines flight 1527 was on its way from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale with 76 passengers and five crew members aboard, Mainz said.
