The Weather Channel Interactive and MSNBC.com expand partnership

The Weather Channel Interactive (TWCI) and msnbc.com today announced an agreement that enables consumers to easily access weather.com content through msnbc.com's Weather section. The agreement brings the most popular source of weather information on the Web and the number one TV news site* together to offer consumers one place to easily find the latest and most comprehensive weather-related news, video, and interactive features.

Msnbc.com’s redesigned Weather section features customizable current conditions, 36 hour forecasts, and regional and national weather maps from weather.com.  The section also offers links to in-depth information on hourly and extended forecasts as well as relevant lifestyle content on weather.com.  Consumers can visit sections on weather.com which detail outdoor recreational activities that are impacted by weather, check the latest health reports for updates on allergies and pollen, or view airport conditions in order to plan for vacations or business travel.  Msnbc.com will also link to news stories and videos on Forecast Earth, a climate focused site developed by The Weather Channel.

*Nielsen//NetRatings reported more than 33 million unique visitors for April, making msnbc.com the No. 1 news site, ahead of ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and Yahoo! News.
