A part-time police officer was fired for appearing in the online video “Memoirs of a Lonely Policeman” while working on the midnight shift, the chief said. Another part-time officer resigned.

Chief Don White placed Marc Grossbard on unpaid leave earlier this week during an investigation, then fired him Wednesday. Another part-time officer, Kevin Walker, resigned after admitting he posted the video online, White said.

The eight-minute clip shows Grossbard on-duty and in uniform driving his patrol car and talking with other officers, according to posting of the video by WBIR-TV in Knoxville. The video had been on YouTube as recently as Monday, but has since been removed.

In one scene filmed inside a gas station, the video contained a caption that read “Me sooo horny,” while Grossbard was talking to a female clerk.

Among the policy violations, Grossbard participated in immoral conduct while on duty, loitered or loafed during working hours and engaged in conduct incompatible with his work, according to the chief.

Grossbard could not be reached for comment Thursday, a local phone number under his last name was disconnected.

Lenoir City is about 27 miles southwest of Knoxville.
