Finding a beer can on her mailbox, Teri complains that her ex-boyfriend waited all night at her home. This was the first incident that night. (police report)

After a second confrontation on July 29, police find Teri Lee in tears and she tells police that Steve Van Keuren "tried to kill her." He is charged with burglary and assault (criminal complaint)

In order to be released from jail, the court makes Van Keuren agree not to have contact with Teri Lee or her family. (Order of Conditional release)
