A house that got stuck beside a busy freeway for 10 days after hitting an overpass while being moved has finally been hauled away.

Vandals had festooned the damaged home with graffiti during the days it sat beside Highway 101.

The single-story home ended up there on Sept. 15, when it clipped an overpass while being moved from Santa Monica to Santa Clarita. The trailer hauling the home was immobilized in the collision, and the house's roof was seriously damaged. Late Tuesday, it was hauled away.

Kimberly Bigman, one of the house's owners, said she had been fighting a nervous breakdown over the botched move. She said she expected to end up getting billed more than $20,000.
