The deal
In a city where even the most basic hotels charge upward of $100 for a no-frills overnight, we found a couple of fabulous bargains you simply can’t skip if you’re London-bound. Rates now start at only $121 for a three-star hotel at the heart of Kensington.

Renaissance Chancery Court for $371.83 a night
This smart spot sports a prime location steps away from Covent Garden. Inside the grand Edwardian building, rooms come with rich appointments. First-rate facilities include two acclaimed restaurants, a marble-columned bar, and a spa with a teak relaxation room. Frommer’s writes, “The interior of the hotel encases you in womblike luxury ... retaining the grandeur of the past but boasting all the comforts and conveniences of today.” No wonder you’d normally pay a whopping $500 for one night here. But with this Travelocity offer, the rate plummets to $371.83!

Overnight at Sanctuary House for $212.77
For fans of chintzy Victoriana and traditional pub food, this pub-hotel is a top value choice. On the ground floor of this first-rate property is the Fuller’s Ale & Pub House, a dining and drinking institution famous for its ales and excellent pub grub. Upstairs is a no-trimmings exercise of quasi-Victorian nostalgia, with a premier location close to Westminster Abbey. Units come with flower-pattern draperies, faux antique prints and en-suite bathrooms. Book a night here through Expedia and pay just $212.77/night!

Stay central in Kensington for $121 a night
Park International Hotel is a modest three-star comprised of five attractive Georgian townhouses in the heart of Kensington. It features nicely decked out guestrooms with a full spectrum of in-room amenities. On-premise facilities don’t extend beyond the nondescript lobby bar, but guests can use the adjacent health facility at a discounted rate. It’s the excellent location that makes this spot one of London’s best budget choices. With this Hotels.com special we found, it’s a real steal: $121/night!
