The deal
Headed to Los Angeles this winter and looking for an affordable place to stay? Look no further. We’ve done some serious bargain-hunting to bring you the very best of hotel deals in the star-studded city. Our findings reveal some fabulous offers in West Hollywood and downtown L.A., whatever your budget may be. Rates start at just $92 for an overnight at an elegant three-star hotel.

Chamberlain West Hollywood Hotel for $249/night
For a dose of intimate boutique chic a stone’s throw from the Sunset Strip, stay at this recently spruced-up spot. Concierge.com writes, “The cool modern style evokes a time when people used cocktail shakers and smoked filterless cigarettes.” Lounge by the rooftop pool and admire the striking city vistas below. Hang out on the private balcony off your room with a gas fireplace. Sample modern California cuisine at the on-site Bistro & Lounge. Hotels.com lets you do all of the above for only $249/night!

Ramada Plaza Hotel & Suites for $119/night
You’ll find this jazzy three-star property right on Santa Monica Boulevard. While the contemporary-style spot may not fancy — as you wouldn’t expect of a Ramada chain — it’s a real find in the midrange category. It has a string of funky guestrooms with Art Deco flair and posters of Hollywood celebrities; “plenty of character”, as Fodor’s claims; and even a rooftop pool. All of that now costs just $119/night if you book on Orbitz. That’s marked down from the hotel’s standard rate of $160!

Kyoto Grand Hotel & Gardens for $92/night
If you’re looking for a cheap L.A. stay, look no further. We found a bargain, available on Orbitz for $92/night at a three-star spot located right downtown. Gayot.com writes, “this large and elegant high-rise hotel offers the choice of Japanese or Western-style suites, both designed with a starkly elegant Japanese aesthetic. Décor throughout the hotel is uncluttered and understated, a purely Eastern way of designing.” Other on-premise perks include a Japanese garden; a full-service spa; and five eating spots.
