The deal
Who doesn’t dream of a sunny holiday in wintertime? Most of us do so we scoured the travel market to find you the best of sun-drenched getaways before this winter ends. What we found are three cheap ways of traveling to the sun, with airfare and hotel-inclusive rates starting at just $762! Just pick your destination between Jamaica, Mexico or St. Thomas and head toward the sun.

Jamaica holiday from $762
To enjoy upscale perks at three-star prices, we suggest the steal of a Jamaica deal we found on Expedia. This four-night escape is now priced at just $762 for travel through March 18. It covers roundtrip airfare from New York and lodging at four-star Rose Hall Resort & Country Club. Once an eighteenth-century sugar plantation, this marvelous oceanfront property offers, claims Frommer’s, “a more authentic Jamaican experience” than the soulless package-type resorts in its vicinity.

Mexico all-inclusive for $1,168
For a holiday under the Mexican sun, there’s no better deal around than the Expedia package we scoured. For a mere $1,168, it gets you four nights at all-inclusive Aventura Spa Palace on Riviera Maya and the flight from Los Angeles. The terrific price is only valid on the March 27 departure. This 210-acre coastal property is an adults-only resort with saltwater swimming inlets; a 95-room health spa; seven à la carte dinner restaurants; and rooms with spa tubs and balconies.

St. Thomas getaway for $1,066
For an escape to St. Thomas, we found a fantastic offer. A four-night holiday at upscale Marriott Frenchmen’s Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort has been reduced in price to $1,066. Good for departures through March 18, this special covers roundtrip air from New York and lodging at this panoramic-view property which is, claims Fodor’s, “set majestically on a promontory overlooking the east side of Charlotte Amalie's harbor”. Facilities include swimming pools; a health spa; and five restaurants.

The dollars
The rates above are listed per person, based on double occupancy. We’ve checked regular winter rates at the above properties and they all run north of $400/night! When you take into account that all three packages cover roundtrip airfare from the U.S. cities listed above, the savings you’re reaping are substantial.

The catch
You won’t be able to avoid other sun-worshippers.
