The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has canceled about 200 departing flights as sleet and snow have pelted the area.
Workers are de-icing planes Thursday, but officials expect even more flights to be canceled as the weather gets worse and temperatures drop below freezing. Forecasters predict up to 3 inches of snow to fall in the Dallas-Fort Worth area following several hours of sleet.
Airport officials say passengers should call their airlines to check on the status of their flights before coming to the airport.
