Msnbc.com and Contribute magazine to share content

Msnbc.com and Contribute magazine today announced a content agreement that will provide consumers with the latest news, information and ideas about philanthropy and the people making a difference in the world of giving. The agreement enables msnbc.com to feature Contribute as a specialized source for the latest philanthropic news and information. Contribute, dedicated to covering the ideas of change and those who are making a difference in the world, will extend the reach of its brand through msnbc.com's rich multimedia platform.

In addition to including Contribute's specialty content, both sites will work together to host polls, offer surveys and showcase other interactive tools. The content will be featured in msnbc.com's Giving section at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15705119/.

"Whether it's healthcare, education, or a crisis in another part of the world, consumers care about who's making a difference and want to put their money where it works the hardest," said Elizabeth Ann Zacarian, president of Contribute. "What's in the news is only meaningful when positive results and reporting happens. Msnbc.com and Contribute share a common editorial mission: deliver news that people value and care most about."

"Contribute will add breadth to msnbc.com's coverage of philanthropy and help us fulfill our goal of reporting on both the generosity of those accomplishing great things and the broken promises of charities that aren't living up to their commitments," said Mike Brunker, projects editor at msnbc.com. "No other news site is demonstrating a similar commitment to this important sector."
