Msnbc.com expands sales force

Today, msnbc.com announced new changes in its sales force to better serve its rapidly expanding client base and to continue to provide creative and customized advertising solutions for some of the nation's most well-known brands. The promotions and new hires represent a group of talented industry veterans, located throughout the country, to deliver msnbc.com's high-quality client service.

The recent promotions and new members added to msnbc.com's sales team include the following professionals:

Moritz Loew has been promoted to Senior Director of Field Operations from his previous position as msnbc.com's Regional Sales Director. Loew's new role has been expanded to manage the national field sales team that works closely with msnbc.com's primary sales partner, Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions (MDAS) group. Loew will also lead the charge on developing strong and compelling marketing solutions for advertisers.

"Mo has a great understanding of the media landscape," said Kyoo Kim, Vice President of Sales at msnbc.com. "He's skilled at making meaningful connections. He's built strong relationships internally and with the Microsoft sales organization, and has been instrumental in creating impactful connections with our clients to foster successful solutions."

Chris Maly, formerly a Group Product Manager at msnbc.com, has been promoted to Group Director, Ad Product Strategy & Development. Maly's new role has evolved to encompass ad product management, oversight and analysis of msnbc.com's sales strategy, and new product development. He will work closely with key internal and external partners as well as vendors.

"Chris has a unique blend of business acumen, marketing experience, and product management skills," said Kim. "This valuable skill set will enable him to effectively lead a team that provides strong business guidance and compelling ad products for our field team to offer to our clients."

Laura Hagen, formerly in charge of West Coast sales, will now be heading up msnbc.com's Eastern sales region as Regional Sales Director. She will be based out of New York.

"Laura was very successful in her previous role and provided superior customer service to her clients," noted Kim. "She is bringing that same effort and energy as she leads our sales efforts in the Eastern region."

Msnbc.com is investing in regional markets by adding a team of strong sales professionals throughout the country. The new sales team members in key markets include:

 -- Victoria Grulke, Regional Account Executive, San Francisco -- Oliver Hooser, Regional Account Executive, Dallas, TX -- Shannon Rackley, Regional Account Executive, Detroit, and -- John McGuire, Regional Account Executive, Chicago.
