A single-engine airplane crashed between two homes Wednesday, slamming into a boat parked in a driveway, but the pilot suffered only minor injuries, authorities said.

No one else was hurt in the crash near Big Bear Airport in the San Bernardino mountains east of Los Angeles.

Pilot Audra Ellen Cramer, 39, of Redondo Beach, had flown in from Torrance Airport and was trying to land the Cessna 172 when she experienced difficulty during the final approach, San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller said.

The plane struck power lines as it descended but there was no fire, said Ian Gregor, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration.

Cramer, the only person aboard the plane, suffered minor injuries and was in stable condition at a hospital, Miller said. A home suffered minor damage in the crash, she added.
