"Dateline NBC" and msnbc.com today unveiled a new online experience for “The Hansen Files with Chris Hansen,” available at www.thehansenfiles.com. The redesigned site gives the rapidly growing online audience access to special features from “The Hansen Files” that can only be found online.

"We are always looking for new and exciting ways to bring our viewers different stories with an impact," said Liz Cole, executive editor of ‘Dateline.’ "Between building on past stories, offering new original reporting and creating more of a dialogue with our online community - The Hansen Files gives us the opportunity to do just that."

Viewers can visit “The Hansen Files,” a site devoted to breaking investigative news stories on the Web, and watch videos on msnbc.com’s industry-leading video player.  The immersive online experience showcases new video features, including Hansen’s original investigative reports and exclusive web-extras that take viewers behind the scenes, with stories about the story.  The site gives consumers the chance to interact with Chris Hansen and send in their personal stories and new story ideas.  "Dateline" viewers can also follow his daily activities and get insights on upcoming investigations using the micro-blogging services Twitter.com/ChrisHansen and Pownce.com/ChrisHansen.

"This is the perfect way to bridge the on-air world to the online world while expanding our investigative and enterprise reporting," said Chris Hansen.

The new site also allows consumers to easily access the extensive video archive from "Dateline NBC’s" groundbreaking hidden camera investigations such as “To Catch a Predator,” “To Catch a Con Man,” and "Children for Sale", the award-winning report on international child sex trafficking in Cambodia.  Users can embed video segments from the shows and place them onto their own blogs or websites.  Consumers can also explore interactive features, including Chris Hansen’s “Inside Dateline” blog posts and the video gallery with information on the men who showed up on “To Catch a Predator.”
