TODAYshow.com, the award-winning lifestyle site for America’s number one morning show, has appointed Catherine Captain as its general manager.  In this newly created role, Captain will drive the strategic planning, content partnerships and marketing for this leading site that generates more than 17 million unique visitors each month.*

Prior to joining msnbc.com’s corporate executive team in 2005 (a role she will maintain), Captain was a marketing executive at USA TODAY.  Under her leadership, msnbc.com’s “A Fuller Spectrum of News” brand campaign won more than a dozen prestigious marketing, planning and creative awards.  Captain received her master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and her undergraduate degree in English and Journalism from the University of Iowa.
