Nashville, Tenn., from $137 per room per night
The Shut Up and Shop package includes one night at the boutique Hotel Preston, parking, shuttle service to Opry Mills shopping center, a $50 gift certificate to spend at any store in the mall, and a savings book with coupons for the mall. Guests will also receive a 20 percent discount at the mall's oxygen bar Oxynate, which offers oxygen aromatherapy, head and scalp massages, and energy drinks. There are also some eclectic perks available in your room or at your request upon check-in, including high-thread-count duvets and linens, a pet fish, a pillow menu, a spiritual menu (a collection of religious texts that can be ordered through room service), a lava lamp, a rubber duckie, and milk and cookies. While this is an airport hotel (there's also a free shuttle to the airport), it's no more than five minutes by car to most major Nashville attractions. Rates start at $137 per room per night.

Little River, Calif., from $160 per room per night
The family-owned Little River Inn on the Mendocino coast in northern California is commemorating the holiday season with a package called Shop 'til You Plop. The special covers a two-night stay in an ocean-view bayside room with a shared veranda, a dinner for two at the inn's Garden Dining Room, discount coupons for boutiques and galleries in Mendocino and Fort Bragg, and a holiday welcome gift. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing treatment at the on-site Third Court Salon & Day Spa (at an additional cost). The hillside property, built as a family home in the 1850s, is about two miles south of Mendocino village. Rates start at $319 per room for two nights.

The Intercontinental Hotel Tampa is offering a chance to get a jump on your holiday shopping. The Black Friday Break Away package includes a savings coupon book for the International Plaza, a mile away, and a $25 American Express gift card. The hotel also has an "In the Know" concierge service that, among other things, can call you a cab for the $10-$12 ride to the mall. Rates start at $159, a savings of $24 per room per night.

The newly opened Nines is offering a wide selection of affordably priced packages (ostensibly to celebrate its recent addition to the Luxury Collection of Starwood Hotels). We like the one called A Shopping Affair, which includes a one-night stay, breakfast for two daily, valet parking, and a $100 gift card for Saks Fifth Avenue. The Nines occupies the top nine stories (which explains the hotel's name) of the historic landmark Meier & Frank building, next to Portland's Pioneer Square and a MAX Light Rail station. The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Portland Art Museum, Powell's Bookstore, Keller Auditorium, PGE Park, Rose Quarter, and the Chinese Garden are all within a mile of the hotel. The 331 rooms are decorated with artworks by local artists and have plush bedding and 42-inch HD televisions. Rates start at $385 per room per night.

The Mandarin Oriental's Luxury & Style With Barneys package includes accommodations in a Bayview King room (with views of the Golden Gate and Bay bridges), a $100 gift card (per reservation) good at Barneys New York in San Francisco, an appointment with a personal shopper, and a glass of champagne in the hotel's MO bar. The store is less than a mile from the hotel, but you can arrange for a ride with the hotel's complimentary town car, based on availability. Rates start at $460 per room per night. Consider that the weekend rate for Bayview King rooms typically starts at $495 per room per night.
