Msnbc.com strengthens sales force

Msnbc.com announced new additions to its sales force, underscoring its commitment to deliver innovative and compelling advertising solutions for many of the nation's most well-known brands.  By adding and expanding positions, msnbc.com has created additional avenues for marketers to tap into rich, new advertising opportunities on multiple platforms, including video and mobile as well as with popular brands such as TODAYshow.com.  This group of talented industry veterans, strategically located throughout the country, enables msnbc.com to continue to deliver its stellar client service.

The recent hires and promotions on msnbc.com's sales team include the following professionals:

Celia Wu joins msnbc.com as the Senior Director of Sales Development, a newly created position based out of Redmond.  In this role, Wu will focus on partnerships to drive revenue diversification.  Wu's previous international business experience includes general management and business development positions at MSN, Time Warner and Star TV Limited, based in Hong Kong.  

Jeff Flores joins msnbc.com as the Western Region's Director of Sales and will be based out of the San Francisco office.  Prior to joining msnbc.com, Flores worked at leading consumer companies including Time, Inc., MSN and American Greetings Interactive where he was most recently the National Sales Director.  He will work closely with agencies and clients in the Western region and lead the sales team in delivering compelling marketing solutions. 

Laura Hagen, who formerly led msnbc.com's Eastern Region as Director of Sales, has been promoted to Senior Director of Integrated Sales.  She will lead the charge in developing cross-media solutions and will work closely with on-air and online teams to create customized media packages that span all platforms, providing marketers with truly integrated advertising solutions.  Hagen will continue to be based out of New York.
