Police have arrested a man they say helped run a burglary ring that committed 150 thefts over the last three years in fancy Los Angeles neighborhoods.
Police said in a statement Wednesday that they had arrested Troy Corsby Thomas, one of two suspected leaders of a group authorities dubbed the "Hillside Bandits." They say Corsby is being held on $3 million bail after pleading not guilty Tuesday to two charges of residential burglary.
Police say the sophisticated crew nearly always evaded security systems and surveillance cameras during break-ins, and that they made off with more than $10 million in cash and property.
More arrests are expected.
