Expect modern furniture, quirky decorative accents (think framed fabric with a purple cow print) and guests enjoying the public spaces. One neat in-room feature is a plug-and-play station, which charges all your electronics and connects them to the TV. Rates start at $169 per room per night.

Tempe, Ariz., from $194 per room per night
