John Brecher
Multimedia Producer John Brecher has worked all over the world. His most extreme journey took him all the way to Antarctica while working at msnbc.com.  Before coming to msnbc.com John worked as a photojournalist at newspapers in Alaska and Wyoming. His freelance work has been published in many publications.

Projects Team editor Mike Brunker has worked for msnbc.com since August 1996.  Before assuming his current duties leading the Web site's team devoted to original and investigative journalism in March 2006, Brunker served as West Coast news editor, overseeing production of the site’s cover and news sections.

Robert Hood
Multimedia Supervising Producer Robert Hood has worked in Russia, South Africa and various places around the U.S. while on assignment for msnbc.  He worked as a photojournalist for daily newspapers in Utah and Wyoming. His freelance work has appeared in The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. He has also taught classes in the University of Missouri photojournalism sequence before coming to msnbc.com in 1996.

Reporter Kari Huus joined msnbc.com at launch in 1996. She moved from Hong Kong, where she spent three years as a staff writer for the Far Eastern Economic Review. Prior to that, Huus spent four years in Beijing where she worked for Newsweek.

Multimedia Producer Carissa Ray came to msnbc.com from the photojournalism program at Western Kentucky University. She has traveled all over the country on assignment. 

Jim Seida
Senior Multimedia Producer Jim Seida, is one of the original multimedia journalists at msnbc.com. Thirteen years ago, he helped create multimedia storytelling for an online audience as one of the core group of multimedia producers hired by Brian Storm during his tenure at msnbc.com.

John Makely
Before joining msnbc.com as a senior multimedia editor in 2008, John Makely worked as a photojournalist and editor for major newspapers in Texas, California and Maryland. He has covered a wide range of stories, including Hurricane Katrina, the Sydney Olympics, the Super Bowl, and the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. His freelance work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, Washington Post, L.A. Times.

Mike Stuckey
Reporter Mike Stuckey worked on the msnbc.com launch team in 1996 and has been employed at the Web site full-time since 1997. Previously, he worked at California newspapers for 25 years and was a member of the San Jose Mercury News staff that won the Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Marilyn Odendahl
Marilyn Odendahl is business reporter for The Elkhart Truth/eTruth.com. She has a bachelor's degree from Ball State University and  master's degree from the University of Louisville. She worked at several jobs in Kentucky before joining The Truth in August 2004.

Tom Lange
Tom Lange has covered education for the Elkhart Truth since 2007, a position he took after interning at the paper. He holds a masters in journalism from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a bachelor’s degree in film studies from Webster University in St. Louis.

Tim Vandenack
Tim Vandenack covers Elkhart County government for the Elkhart Truth. He previously worked at newspapers in Kansas and Texas and had journalistic stints in Mexico and Chile as well. The immigration issue piques his interest and he’s written on the impacts of the burgeoning population of Hispanic immigrants in Elkhart and, previously, southwest Kansas. A transplant to Indiana, he grew up in Lincoln, Neb., and graduated from Brown University.



Josh Weinhold
Josh Weinhold joined The Elkhart Truth reporting staff in June 2008. He covers politics and Elkhart city government. He graduated from Valparaiso University in 2008 with a degree in new media journalism and humanities. There, he was editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Torch, for two years. He interned at The Truth and the Dubuque (Iowa) Telegraph Herald.
