Jeannie Ohm serves as correspondent and anchor for MSNBC, currently reporting live daily from the Pentagon.

Ohm joined MSNBC in August 2001. Her first major assignment for MSNBC was reporting on the aftermath at Ground Zero, where she spent five weeks reporting on the search and recovery efforts.

Prior to joining MSNBC, Ohm worked in the nation’s capitol. She spent two years as a general assignment reporter and substitute anchor at WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C. Her live, breaking news reporting earned her an Emmy nomination. Before joining WTTG-TV, she spent three years in Houston as a reporter and fill-in anchor at the NBC affiliate, KPRC-TV. She covered major stories from the Columbine shootings to a deadly hurricane in Mexico.

Ohm began her career as a research assistant working on the NBC program “One on One with John Tesh.” Earlier, she was a reporter and news photographer for KHQ-TV, the NBC station in Spokane, WA.

Ohm is a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont with a bachelor of arts degree in English and a minor in Italian.
