A Massachusetts woman who was nine months pregnant was found killed in her apartment, and her boyfriend has been charged with murder.
Police say they found the body of 42-year-old Yuliya Galperina on Sunday morning in Salem, a seaport city northeast of Boston noted for its witch trials in 1692. She was stabbed to death and her unborn child also died.
Peter Ronchi waived rendition at a court hearing Monday in Connecticut. He'll be returned and arraigned Wednesday on a murder charge in Galperina's slaying.
Galperina had a 3-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son. Salem police Capt. Paul Tucker said they're in state custody.
