Bestselling author Candace Bushnell attained celebrity status when her book “Sex and the City” was turned into the acclaimed HBO series of the same name. Bushnell’s character Carrie Bradshaw, played on the show by Sarah Jessica Parker, is based on her own life experiences as a single woman in New York City. Her new book, “Trading Up”, continues the story of Janey Wilcox, who was introduced in last year’s “4 Blondes.”In anticipation of her appearance on NBC’s Today show, the author joins MSNBC.com chat to discuss her books and their cultural impact.
