The deal
Las Vegas can easily be proclaimed the nightlife capital of the world, but there is one thing that Sin City is lacking: a beach.

For many people living on the East Coast, the casinos and beach boardwalk of Atlantic City have always been an attractive alternative, but thanks to the introduction to the new Atlantic City Express Service (ACES) it is becoming more affordable then ever.

Although ACES had a slow start when it first launched in February, now that summer is here the company has drastically reduced the costs of train tickets by 42 percent, causing ridership to increase significantly.

Introductory rates were $50 for the two-hour and 40-minute trip from New York, but with this extended promotion — which runs through July 31– fares are available from as little as $29 each way. The ACES train features comfortable leather seats, snack bars, and lounge access (which must be booked in advance).

First-class seats offering extra legroom and a food and beverage service can be had for an additional $25. The train departs every Friday through Sunday from New York’s Penn Station.
