Msnbc.com’s video numbers skyrocketed in June, setting an all-time site record of 153 million total online video streams.*  The record video streams in June are a 14 percent increase over the site’s previous monthly record, set in October 2008 during the lead-up to the 2008 presidential election. Consumers turned to msnbc.com for a fuller spectrum of news, including breaking entertainment stories and NBC News’ exclusive special report: “Inside the Obama White House.”

The site experienced a surge in traffic as consumers followed the latest entertainment updates and complete news coverage about Michael Jackson, generating more than 22 million online video streams in Jackson-related stories.  NBC’s "Inside the Obama White House" provided an exclusive look at what happens throughout the White House and the West Wing during a day in the life of the Obama administration.  Millions of consumers tuned in to NBC News and also watched video online at http://WhiteHouse.msnbc.com, viewing web-exclusives, extended interviews, and in-depth stories that allowed them to learn more fascinating facts about America's most famous residence.
