The Real Deal: Seven nights in a river-view stateroom aboard the River Baroness, which sails from Paris to Normandy and back, with stops in Les Andelys and Rouen; all meals, including a holiday gala dinner; wine, soft drinks, and beer with dinner, as well as bottled water, tea, and coffee; six guided shore excursions, including a visit to Versailles; use of a portable audio headset; all transfers; onboard entertainment; and the services of tour guides and a cruise manager; from $999 per person—plus port charges of $98.

When: Dec. 12, 2009. Additional departures on December 19 and 26 don't qualify for the 50 percent discount, so prices start at $1,999 per person.

The fine print: Cruise begins and ends in Paris; airfare is not included. Port charges are an additional $98 per person. The two-for-one discounted price of $999 per person is based on double occupancy only. Read these guidelines before you book any Real Deal.

Book by: Aug. 31, 2009.

Why it's a deal: According to a recent search on Kayak, this same seven-night Parisian winter holiday cruise starts at $2,097 per person for departures in mid-December. With this two-for-one offer, you pay about half that amount after port charges are added.

More: Add at least $250 per person to upgrade your cabin.
