The Grand Opening rate at the stylish, 244-room Hotel Sorella will save you about $40 off regular rates. The hotel opened in August in west Houston's CityCentre. Rates start at $99 per room per night on weekends; add $30 per night on weekdays. Continental breakfast and high-speed Internet access are included.

At the pet-friendly Biscuit Hill B&B Inn, dogs and cats receive a complimentary toy upon arrival. Guests get a complimentary full country breakfast served each morning. Review site Yelp is hosting an open party in Houston's new EaDo (East Downtown) neighborhood. The free event will have food and beverage stands, live music, and exhibits from 13 local artists. The Horseshoe Bay Resort in Texas Hill Country is offering the Just Bring Your Swing package, which includes accommodations, unlimited tee times at its three golf courses, golf club rental, and complimentary shuttle service to the courses. The rate includes use of the resort's tennis courts, pool, activity center with a video arcade and ping-pong, and bicycles.
