CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela's opposition accused the government on Wednesday of turning a blind eye to neighboring Guyana's oil exploration in a border region claimed by Venezuela, potentially inflaming a territorial dispute that dates back more than a century. Full story
The National Transportation Safety Board has dispatched a team to Guyana to investigate the crash landing of a Caribbean Airlines passenger plan that missed a runway and split in half. As NBC’s Jeff Rossen reports, it was a miracle there was no casualties.
