Glenn: Historic flight 'an important step forward'

  The name, John Glenn, still inspires awe. Fifty years ago he inspired goose bumps. To mark the anniversary of that flight, he was at Cape Canaveral with another one of the original Mercury 7, astronaut Scott Carpenter.

Final Shuttle Launch

  NASA's last shuttle is scheduled to launch from Cape Canaveral today, with CNBC's Brian Shactman.

It's the final countdown for US shuttle program

  The Atlantis shuttle sits on the launch pad in Cape Canaveral, ready for the final countdown of a three-decade long shuttle program. NBC's Tom Costello reports.
