Why it's a deal: According to a recent search on Kayak, the lowest round-trip fare between Miami and La Romana is $406 with taxes in mid-January (American). For an additional $513, the Beach Destinations package covers airfare, as well as four nights' all-inclusive accommodations, daytime activities, nightly entertainment, and all taxes and fees.
More: Some optional activities are available at the resort at an additional cost, including diving classes, horseback riding, and golfing. You must book these activities on location. Additional nights are $150 per person per night.
