The deal
If you’re looking to head out of town to enjoy the Christmas festivities, then let Santa and his nine reindeer pay you a visit in The Big Easy. New Orleans Marriott has slashed its rates to just $89/night for stays from December 1 through December 24 — that’s $160 off regular room prices!

The money you’ll save on accommodations can be put toward a six-course dinner ($45 per person) at the hotel’s renowned 5 Fifty 5 restaurant. Also, on select dates, the hotel will allow you to participate in a free cooking demonstration at Le Petit Theatre, where you’ll get useful cooking advice from the Executive Chef.

About the Hotel: The New Orleans Marriott, which received a $38 million makeover in 2007, is centrally located on Canal Street in the city’s famous French Quarter and offers guests stunning views of the Mississippi River. As for amenities, the 1,329-room hotel contains an outdoor pool, fitness center, and a 27,089-square-foot ballroom — the largest in the state of Louisiana.

The dollars
Rates are based on double occupancy. Taxes and fees are additional.

The catch
It’s not Mardi Gras — you'll have to leave the beads at home.
